چکیده

Forests have a vital role in maintaining global climate stability by removing greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide from environment. Estimation of stock is crucial quantifying the amount that present forest. The estimation forest biomass and through field measurements challenging timeconsuming task. Here this scenario, our study aims to estimate area using hybrid technique i.e., aerial survey ground survey. We used low-altitude remote sensing data acquired UAV an efficient way compared traditional techniques. developed orthomosaic collected imageries manually delineated tree crowns obtain crown projection (CPA) for entire GIS tools. Our contained mixed species with Pinus Wallichiana be dominant while other are negligible. Using field-measured height diameter at breast (DBH) as input, we estimated above-ground (AGB) allometric equation then factor value or aboveground (AGC) six sample plots. Next, relationship between CPA validated it comparing values obtained remaining four Among various model, 4th order Polynomial model was chosen due its highest coefficient correlation. After validation done AGC whole image. total AGB which about 7 hectare 210.7480 tons 448.4 respectively.

Above-Ground Biomass and Biomass Components Estimation Using LiDAR Data in a Coniferous Forest

This study aims to estimate forest above-ground biomass and biomass components in a stand of Picea crassifolia (a coniferous tree) located on Qilian Mountain, western China via low density small-footprint airborne LiDAR data. LiDAR points were first classified into ground points and vegetation points. After, vegetation statistics, including height quantiles, mean height, and fractional cover we...

Above Ground Biomass estimation from SAR vertical reflectivity profiles

First attempts for the estimation of above ground forest biomass (AGB) by means of SAR, have used allometric equations to calculate biomass from the estimated PolInSAR forest height. However, changes in forest density or structure bias the known allometric relations. Today, remote sensing systems like SAR are able to measure additional parameters like vertical forest structure [1] [2]. In this ...

Remote Sensing of Above-Ground Biomass

Accurate measurement and mapping of biomass is a critical component of carbon stock quantification, climate change impact assessment, suitability and location of bio-energy processing plants, assessing fuel for forest fires, and assessing merchandisable timber. While above-ground biomass includes both live and dead plant material, most of the recent research effort on biomass estimation has foc...

Estimating Above-Ground Carbon Biomass in a Newly Restored Coastal Plain Wetland Using Remote Sensing

Developing accurate but inexpensive methods for estimating above-ground carbon biomass is an important technical challenge that must be overcome before a carbon offset market can be successfully implemented in the United States. Previous studies have shown that LiDAR (light detection and ranging) is well-suited for modeling above-ground biomass in mature forests; however, there has been little ...

Estimation of Tree Biomass at Individual tree, Sample plot and Hybrid Level using Drone Images

Two-dimensional image conversion algorithms to 3D data create the hope that the structural properties of trees can be extracted through these images. In this study, the accuracy of biomass estimation in tree, plot, and hybrid levels using UAVs images was investigated. In 34.8 ha of Sisangan Forest Park, using a quadcopter, 854 images from an altitude of 100 meters above ground were acquired. SF...
